Why have you built the tool in Google Sheets instead of building an app from scratch?
-> An app was the initial plan. Google Sheets was supposed to be a test platform. However, it turned out it's a better solution altogether, for the following reasons:
-> Stability: apps need constant maintenance with each iOS or Android update. If a developer drops support for an app the users remain stranded... By using Google Sheets (approx. 1 billion users) this can never be an issue (unless Google goes bankrupt :) )
-> No subscription required: because regular apps need constant maintenance so in turn they most often use a subscription based pricing model (annoying and expensive in the long run)
-> Multiplatform compatibility: JournalSheets works with iOS, Android, Mac and PC.
-> Instant synch across all devices.
-> Security: 2FA, several backups a day, password, all handled by Google.

Is there a trial period?
-> Once you have access there is no technical way to revoke it. This means it's not possible to implement a trial period.
-> However, detailed demos are available to help you have a very clear understanding of the product before purchasing.

What is Apps Script and why was it needed?
-> It's a tool from Google allowing custom features to be coded with JavaScript.
-> This way JournalSheets can have features otherwise not possible using Google Sheets alone.
